DIDDY LEAVES BAD BOY BEHIND?



Vareity.com is reporting that Diddy is leaving Warner Music Group/Atlantic Records and is looking to release his upcoming Last Train To Paris album with Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope label. The mogul said in a statement, “Now that the term of the Warner deal has ended, I have elected to accept an opportunity to move my recording career and future label venture to another company.”

•TIDBIT: Diddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment catalog and artists – like Day26, Cassie and Cherri Dennis – will remain on Warner Music Group/Atlantic Records.

•SIMON COWELL GETS BIG BUCKS. According to the New York Post, Simon Cowell will soon be the highest paid celebrity on television. Cowell is reportedly being paid 100-million dollars to produce his British talent search show X-Factor to the U-S. The agreement also lengthens his American Idol contract for another two years. Oprah remains the top earning television star, her whole media empire brings in 200-million a year.
