
BLACK EYED PEAS STILL ON TOP
The Black Eyed Peas’ hit “I Gotta Feeling” notches another week at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has topped the chart for 13 weeks, starting back on July 4th when it climbed to the summit from number two replaced the Peas’ own “Boom Boom Pow.” Jay-Z’s “Run This Town” featuring Rihanna and Kanye West leaps two spots to number two. Jay Sean’s “Down” featuring Lil Wayne falls one spot to number three, Taylor Swift drops two notches to number four with “You Belong With Me and Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” featuring Alicia Keys rockets up 45 spots to number five. Miley Cyrus falls three spots to number six with “Party in the U.S.A.,” Lady GaGa slides three places to number seven with “Paparazzi” and Drake debuts at number eight with “Forever,” which features help from Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem. Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody” falls five spots to number nine in its 34th week on the chart. The tune has been in the top ten for over eight weeks. Jason DeRulo’s “Watcha Say” falls three spots to rounds out the top ten.
BLACK EYED PEAS AUCTION OFF HISTORY AND A TRIP TO AUSTRALIA
Now through Saturday, October 3rd, you can bid on exclusive packages to join the Black Eyed Peas in the air as they claim two world record attempts: the highest ever live performance and highest recorded track. The person with the highest bid and a guest will fly on V Australia from Los Angeles to Australia, where they will then join a special Melbourne to Perth flight with the Black Eyed Peas, as the band attempts to break both records. The winner will get to meet the band, watch them record in the air and then the remainder of the flight becomes a Mile High Karaoke Party with the group. Winners will also attend the October 10th Black Eyed Peas concert in Perth and get a second band meet & greet. Hotels included. FANS IN LINE FOR DAYS TO BUY MJ MOVIE TIX
According to the Associated Press, on Thursday, fans had already begun lining up at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles to purchase tickets to see Michael Jackson’s concert film This Is It. The film features a behind-the-scenes look at Jackson preparing for the series of London shows he was rehearsing for before he died on June 25th. Tickets for the flick went on sale early Sunday morning and the first 500 fans in line scored commemorative tickets designed by Jackson for the London concerts at the O2 Arena. A total of three-thousand movie tickets will be available for the early October 27th shows at L-A Live’s new Regal Cinemas Stadium 14, marking the movie theater’s grand opening. This Is It will begin its limited, two-week run at movie theaters nationwide on October 28th.

VINCE VAUGHN ENGAGED! According to People.com, 39-year-old Vince Vaughn is engaged! The actor and a Canadian real estate agent named Kyla Weber are set to be married. Vaughn told the Web site that he is ready to settle down and have children. Fans can see Vince in the new comedy, Couples Retreat, on October 9th.

RANDY QUAID MAKES BAIL! Randy Quaid is out on bail. According to the Associated Press, the actor and his wife each posted 20-thousand dollars after being arrested for allegedly not paying a ten-thousand dollar hotel bill in Santa Barbara, California. A message left for Quaid’s agent was not immediately returned.

MJ TRIAL NEWS! The girlfriend of Dr. Conrad Murray, the man who is the subject of investigation after Micheal Jackson’s death was ruled a homicide, finished giving her testimony before a grand jury on Thursday. It’s not known exactly what was asked, but according to the Associated Press, Nicole Alvarez was cooperative in providing a statement.

PITT AND THE EX-PRESIDENT! At the Clinton Global Initiative event last week in New York, Bill Clinton and Brad Pitt had a chat about post-Katrina New Orleans. According to USA Today, the actor filled in the former President on the work of Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation, which is building 150 homes in the areas hardest hit by the hurricane.

MARTHA APOLOGIZES TO JESSICA! On Thursday, Martha Stewart issued a public apology to Jessica Simpson regarding the singer’s lost dog, Daisy. People.com reports Stewart initially felt Jessica “should have been watching her dog more closely,” however Martha later stated, “I feel very, very sorry for anybody that loses a pet. Jessica, I hope you find your pet, but if you don't, I'm really sorry that you lost one.”

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT UPDATE! When it debuted in 2003, the TV show Arrested Development helped relaunch the career of Jason Bateman and made stars out of Michael Cera, Will Arnett and Portia de Rossi. The Golden Globe and Emmy-winning show only lasted three seasons due to poor ratings, but fans of the series will be happy to know that it’s heading to the big screen.

The couple had an intimate wedding on a private Pennsylvania estate near their families’ homes. Guarini is now the step-dad to Reina’s four-year-old daughter.

An Arkansas woman was surprised to find out she was going to have not one, but two babies, two and a half weeks apart. According to ABC News, in what is being described as a rare medical occurrence, the two babies will have separate due dates because they aren’t twins. While she was getting an ultrasound in June, doctors discovered a smaller, younger baby boy growing next to the woman’s baby girl.
MANAGING MANNEQUINS
Iranian authorities have made shop owners aware that they are not allowed to use mannequins that show curves or ones without headscarves. Although the first offense for not following the rules can be a slight warning, Reuters reports the owners of the shops can be detained for mannequins that break the dress code and will be required to take “guidance classes.”
