LADY GAGA HAS ANOTHER TOP TEN HIT

It seems that every song Lady Gaga releases is a hit. Her most recent single, “Bad Romance,” which is on her forthcoming release The Fame Monster, debuted at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This gives Gaga her fifth top ten song, as it joins her previous singles “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” “Love Game” and “Paparazzi,” which is currently number six on the chart.

TAYLOR SWIFTS HOSTS SNL TOMORROW NIGHT

Tomorrow night, Taylor Swift will become the first country artist to host and perform on Saturday Night Live. While preparing for the show, she told CMT Radio Live’s Cody Alan she couldn’t stop coming up with ideas for her big night.
“I’m so excited. I’m not sure I’m ready. I try and prepare for everything beyond the extent of preparation. I’m just like so stressing about everything that I do. I have all of these ideas for skits. I have like ten ideas right now. I’m probably going to walk in there with 35 ideas.”

Justin Timberlake hosted and performed on Saturday Night Live in 2006 and since then, no other artist has served double duties on the show.

ESTER DEAN CONTRIBUTED TO RIHANNA'S ALBUM

KINGS OF LEON RELEASE CLOTHING LINE

Kings of Leon have always been a very fashionable band and now they are releasing their own clothing line. According to NME.com, the group has teamed up with French designers Surface to Air to release a line of clothing that will be available at a shop called Paris Texas in Copenhagen. NO DOUBT NOT HAPPY ABOUT BAND HERO AVATARS

Rolling Stone reports that No Doubt is suing Activision, the company that makes Guitar Hero, for “fraudulent inducement and breach of contract” arguing that the game, which features avatar versions of the band, turned them into “a virtual karaoke circus act.” The band was “mortified” to find that their avatars could perform music from other artists and they were upset to learn that the avatars could be isolated from the group to sing songs inappropriate for his or her gender. Activision has responded by saying the suit has no merit and that they have a “written agreement to use No Doubt in Band Hero.” The band’s full statement can be read now at RollingStone.com.

50 CENT RELEASES NEW COLOGNE

According to his official site, 50 Cent has finally released his new Power by 50 Cent cologne exclusively through Macys. To celebrate the launching, the mogul has agreed to take part in autograph signing sessions across the country at select Macys locations. WHITNEY HOUSTON TOURS IN RUSSIA

Billboard.com reports Whitney Houston is scheduled to headline two concerts in Russia next month. According to venue promoters, the legendary singer is “much loved in Russia” and they are “thrilled” for her return. The “Million Dollar Bill” singer will perform at Moscow’s Olympisky Stadium on December 9th and a few days later on December 12th at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg.

SEAN KINGSTON TALKS RIHANNA'S RATED R ALBUM

Sean Kingston is a busy guy. Not only is he working on a new studio album, but he continues to lend his songwriting talents to artists like Rihanna. The “Fire Burning” singer told us the song he recently wrote for Rihanna’s Rated R album didn’t make the tracklisting, however he has one last chance at submitting another song.

"To be honest with you…I’m actually… when I go back on the 8th… they said like I got like one last chance to like submit not chance but to submit like a whole new…cause I didn’t know... like what sound she was going with but, now I know so me and my whole team is gonna back and were gonna write and see what we can do."

As Mariah Carey works her upcoming Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel features album, new material continues to leak from the project. Rap-Up.com reports a track called “Inseparable” featuring Trey Songz has surfaced. The duet will definitely be included on Mi Mi’s revamped disc – which will also include guest appearances from T-Pain, Big Boi, Gucci Mane, OJ Da Juiceman, Jermaine Dupri and R Kelly.

According to RollingStone.com, DMB will be the musical guest on November 21st, and the episode will be hosted by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt. This will mark the group’s fourth time on the famed late night program, and their first since 2003.

PROTESTS OF MADONNA’S SCHOOL

People are protesting the construction of Madonna’s school for girls in Malawi, and the African country is ready to take action against them. According to Reuters, 140 villagers are demanding money for the land on which the academy is being built, and are blocking any construction from being done. A senior government official said that if an agreement with villagers can’t be reached, then the police will be forced to arrest them for “blocking development work on the site.”

WALE DOESN'T WANT TO BE A POP STAR

Wale told Peace Magazine that he doesn’t want his upcoming Attention Deficit album to push him into pop stardom. The rapper explained he is “not here to be a pop act” in reference to collaborating with Lady Gaga on his “Chillin’” single. Wale had fun making the record; however he doesn’t anticipate himself “going back down that road ever.” He also stated that Attention Deficit was not crafted for Billboard purposes, because it reflects his life story.
